How One Founder Is Betting on the Future of Search — Before Google Even Catches Up

Search is changing faster than most businesses realize. For two decades, being “found online” meant one thing: ranking on Google. Now, that assumption is quietly breaking down. People are increasingly typing questions into ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google’s own AI Overviews and getting a direct answer — without ever clicking through to a website. For most brands, this shift is invisible until traffic starts dropping for reasons no analytics dashboard can explain. Revanth Rajeev spotted the problem early — and built a company around it.

His platform, AgentRead, live at agentread.tech, helps businesses answer a question most have never had to ask before: does AI even know we exist, and does it trust us enough to recommend us? It’s a new category — AI search visibility — sitting somewhere between SEO and brand reputation, except built for an audience of language models instead of people. Revanth is one of a small number of founders building serious tooling for it while the category is still being defined, rather than waiting for a playbook to emerge first.

Testing the System, Not Guessing at It

The instinct behind AgentRead didn’t come from a whitepaper. It came from watching how differently people search now compared to even two years ago, and then testing that shift directly — running real queries against real AI models, tracking which sources they cited, which businesses they recommended, and which ones they seemed to simply never surface. What emerged was a pattern conventional SEO wisdom didn’t account for: AI models don’t rank pages the way search engines do, they synthesize an answer from whatever sources they trust — and most businesses have no visibility into whether they’re even in that pool of trusted sources.

That gap is what AgentRead is built to close. Rather than optimizing for keywords and backlinks, the platform gives businesses insight into how AI systems actually perceive and cite their content, and what to change to improve it — a discipline with almost no existing tooling before now.

A Track Record of Actually Shipping

AgentRead didn’t come out of nowhere. As Co-Founder & Managing Director of Evolune EdgeTech LLP, a DPIIT-recognised startup, Revanth has spent the past few years shipping over 50 consumer apps across Android and iOS, all through organic distribution — no paid acquisition, no growth-hacking shortcuts. That track record helped him land a spot in the inaugural Canopy cohort by Founders, Inc., one of only 400 teams chosen globally out of a much larger applicant pool for a five-week accelerator that ran alongside 100 in-person teams at the Founders, Inc. campus in San Francisco.

It’s that same bias toward finishing and launching — rather than stopping at a pitch deck or a prototype — that separates AgentRead from a typical student side project. The platform isn’t a concept: it has live pricing tiers, real payments processing, and businesses already using it to check where they stand in AI search results today.

Why the Timing Matters

The stakes here are only getting higher. As more consumers turn to AI assistants as their default way of researching, comparing, and deciding — rather than opening ten browser tabs — the businesses that show up inside those AI answers will have a structural advantage over the ones that don’t, no matter how good their traditional SEO is. That’s the bet Revanth Rajeev is making with AgentRead: that AI search visibility will become as essential to businesses over the next few years as search engine optimization was over the last twenty.

Revanth Rajeev, a Student of IIT, continues to build and refine AgentRead, positioning it early in a category that most businesses — and most marketers — haven’t caught up to yet.
