Monk CI raised $450K Funding to Redefine Software Build Infrastructure for the AI Age

Bengaluru, India – June 2026: Monk CI, a high-performance continuous integration (CI) platform built for the demands of AI-driven software development, has announced that it has secured $450,000 (approximately ₹4 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund. The round also saw participation from Point One Capital and a group of experienced angel investors who believe the company is solving one of the most pressing infrastructure challenges facing modern software engineering teams.

The newly raised capital will enable Monk CI to expand its engineering workforce, strengthen its cloud infrastructure, achieve additional enterprise certifications, and accelerate customer acquisition across India before beginning its planned expansion into the United States.

The software industry is currently witnessing one of its biggest transformations with the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. AI coding assistants have dramatically increased the speed at which developers write code, but the infrastructure responsible for building, testing, and validating that code has struggled to keep pace. Every new pull request triggers automated testing pipelines, creating higher workloads that expose the limitations of traditional CI systems.

Monk CI was created specifically to address this imbalance.

Rather than treating continuous integration as a background process, the company views it as a critical component of developer productivity. By modernizing the CI layer, Monk CI enables engineering teams to ship software faster while lowering operational costs and reducing the time developers spend waiting for builds to complete.

The company was founded by Ujjwal Prashant and Nitin Mandale, two IIT Roorkee graduates from the Class of 2023 who have spent years building enterprise software systems. Their shared experience revealed a common problem across organizations of all sizes continuous integration platforms had become slower, more expensive, and increasingly difficult to manage as software projects grew in complexity.

Instead of accepting these limitations, the founders decided to build a completely new CI platform optimized for today's AI-powered development workflows.

One of Monk CI's biggest strengths is its ability to integrate seamlessly into existing GitHub-based development pipelines. Developers can begin using the platform with a simple one-line configuration change, eliminating the need for complex migrations or workflow redesigns. This allows engineering teams to adopt Monk CI quickly while preserving their existing development processes.

The platform has been engineered to deliver measurable improvements across multiple performance metrics. According to the company, GitHub Actions workflows become up to 10 times faster, while organizations can reduce CI-related infrastructure expenses by as much as 75 percent. All this happens with one line code change.

Monk CI also significantly accelerates resource-intensive Docker image builds, making them up to 40 times faster than traditional CI runners. Cache restoration performance improves by four times, while compute execution delivers approximately three times greater speed, enabling engineering teams to complete testing and deployment much more efficiently.

These improvements are particularly valuable for organizations building AI applications, where rapid code generation often leads to a substantial increase in build frequency. Traditional CI platforms frequently struggle with this increased workload, resulting in long build queues, delayed releases, and higher cloud infrastructure bills.

Beyond performance improvements, Monk CI is introducing intelligent automation to simplify one of the most time-consuming aspects of software development debugging failed builds.

Instead of requiring developers to manually examine thousands of lines of log files, Monk CI automatically generates AI-powered summaries that clearly explain why a build failed. These concise summaries help developers identify root causes in seconds rather than spending valuable engineering time searching through technical logs.

The company's AI capabilities extend even further through self-healing automation. When build failures occur, Monk CI's intelligent agents can automatically generate pull requests containing suggested code fixes, allowing engineering teams to resolve issues much faster while maintaining development velocity.

This combination of speed and automation reflects the founders' belief that modern CI platforms should do more than simply execute builds. Instead, they should actively assist developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Before launching Monk CI, both founders accumulated significant experience building enterprise software.

Ujjwal Prashant began his professional journey while still studying at IIT Roorkee, joining EZAIX as Head of Engineering during his eighth semester. In this leadership role, he managed engineering operations while contributing to product strategy and business growth. He later joined Deutsche Bank, where he worked as a Backend and DevOps Engineer, successfully reducing software testing cycles from five hours to only 45 minutes by implementing scalable cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.

Nitin Mandale served as Chief Technology Officer at EZAIX, leading technical strategy, enterprise architecture, and software delivery. His work involved managing projects for several internationally recognized organizations, including Microsoft, Kroger, the State of South Dakota, and the US Department of State. These experiences provided deep insight into enterprise compliance requirements and large-scale infrastructure deployment.

Having collaborated since their first year at IIT Roorkee, the founders built Monk CI around lessons learned from real-world enterprise engineering challenges rather than theoretical assumptions.

Enterprise readiness has also been a major priority from the beginning. Monk CI is already SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliant, giving organizations confidence that the platform meets globally recognized standards for security, privacy, and information management. These certifications are expected to play an important role as the company expands its enterprise customer base.

The latest investment will allow Monk CI to continue advancing its platform while investing in product innovation, infrastructure scalability, and customer support. The company also plans to expand its engineering talent and strengthen its presence within India's growing technology ecosystem before pursuing opportunities in international markets.

As software development continues to evolve with artificial intelligence becoming an integral part of coding workflows, infrastructure platforms capable of supporting this new reality are becoming increasingly essential. Monk CI believes the future of continuous integration lies in combining high-performance computing with intelligent automation that empowers developers to work more efficiently.

With fresh investor backing, experienced technical leadership, and a platform designed specifically for AI-first engineering teams, Monk CI is positioning itself to become a key player in the next generation of software development infrastructure, helping organizations build, test, and deploy applications faster while reducing both complexity and cost.
